For my bootstrapper, I usually run: Iron plate, 3 belts. Copper plate, 3 belts. Water, 1 pipe. Lube, 1 pipe. Petrol, 1 pipe. Coal, 1 belt. Steel, 1 belt. I also put the following on the bus in limited quantities for low demand assemblers (i.e. assemblers that feed the stockpiles for my conbots).I don't know what it's called. It has about 5 different "busses" zigzagging between production blocks. (bus 1: iron+steel; bus 2: copper + plastic; bus 3: green circuits + red circuits ; bus 4: the mall; bus 5: half a belt of every advanced intermediate) 1. fd0p-j • 2 yr. ago. You've been waiting for it: the premiere guide/playthrough for beginners and experts alike! It makes more sense to have smelter block output and the main bus to go in the same direction. And do not use balancing on the main bus lanes, only use splitters to compress the belt, which will be next to split to a consumer.

A Main Bus is one of the most widely-used factory designs among Factorians for its flexibility and ease-of-use. A well-designed Main Bus can help you build a neat and efficient factory that is able to supply all the products you need. If you are a beginner to Factorio, or need more generalized help, please see my Factorio Guide here:You can google "factorio calculator" to find out how many lanes of raw materials you need for any specific target you are aiming for (for example 500 science per minute, or whatever). A "traditional bus" is a good strategy for a small to medium sized base, but the numbers can quickly become ridiculous for more than a few hundred spm.

The 6 to 6 belt balancer I have is very wide but I'd much rather have a 6 to 6 balancer that doesn't take up more than 6 tiles in width, if that is even possible and I am turning to you guys for some help, since I am having troubles finding one on the Factorio dark web.Mar 16, 2018 · 1 belt of coal. 1 belt of stone ore (for the mall) 1 pipe of lube. 1 pipe of sulfuric acid. PERHAPS 1 pipe of water and petro. 4 empty lanes for a stone walkway to run/drive through your factory at speed. 4 MORE empty lanes to allow a train to drive down the buss, if you deem it useful.

Jan 20, 2023 · There are twenty-four on every side of a large output belt in the center. First of all, put the first row of smelters and then, after leaving a tile space, put an output belt going in the direction of the main bus you have planned. Leave another tile space, and then add the second line of furnaces. Jumpstart Base. Once you crash land on the planet, build this base. It will help you to semi automate as much of the base resources as possible. It works by placing copper / iron plates in the boxes and the base does the rest. (power is bastardised into being automated).there are different ways of doing it. I use one mainly but i know nilaus for example uses another one. My way of using it being : you push lane to one side (for example the left side of your 4 iron lanes) using priority splitters so you alway use the left lane to get materials out and when you do they get replaced by the material on the 3 other ...About Press Copyright Contact us Creators Advertise Developers Terms Privacy Policy & Safety How YouTube works Test new features NFL Sunday Ticket Press Copyright ...A main bus is a paradigm that gives you easy expansion options; traceability for bottlenecks and good, easily navigable topology. Sure; it wastes some raw free space, but that is probably the cheapest resource in Factorio, save for if you're playing death-world.

It's a 7 science factory with a circular train acting as the main bus. It's based on the fact that six train cars or locomotives can go around a 180 degree turn and still line up perfectly with the rail grid. The single train has 22 locomotives and 110 cargo wagons, in a 1-5-1-5-... configuration. Grenades can simply be assembled directly from the mini-bus. Landfills use stone instead of stone bricks, so they will have to be split off from the stone mines before the furnaces. Main bus. by kevinski120 » Wed Apr 13, 2016 2:04 pm. So I have come back to Factorio and started a new factory. Have done some initial research, got settled in and i have enough supplies to start my main base. Now I want to use the main bus to deliver items. I have a 4 wide belt for iron, copper and green circuits. The main weakness of longer trains is lower acceleration, you can go 1-8 or even 1-12 and still reach the same top speed. This means that for long distances driven at full speed, a 1-12 train simply gets 4 times the throughput as a 1-3 train, however if the train needs to stop and accelerate very often, it is overall much slower. No no, you should put rails to your bus instead. Next to fish and pistols. I usually find a patch of iron and a patch of stone close to my base and build a small outpost. Depending on base needs and resource availability I tend to merge it with advanced concrete production.

Aug 26, 2022 · As a general overview, a bus orientated factory would include 3 segments. The starting resource patches (and/or railway station), an array of furnaces, then the bus with production sites. It is useful to include some space between the each segment to allow for future expansion. Space should also be made for belt balancers, to be used for the ... 4. zepaperclip • 5 yr. ago. In order for a main bus to work well, you need to set yourself some rules and stick to them. Rules such as, "Bus runs right to left. 2 empty spaces between each component on the bus. Production goes above the bus. New lines are added to the bottom of the bus." and so on.The belt optimization in 0.16 is to treat adjacent items on the bus as one big item. So even though these belts are huge, the fact that they're fully packed means there aren't too many logical items for the system to track.Yes. in the vanilla game gears take two iron plates, which in effect means that two iron plate belts are equal to one iron gear wheel belt. Gears are also used in a lot of other recipes down the line and are the first things I include in my main bus, alongside of Steel. #1. menghao Jun 28, 2017 @ 3:40pm.The website returned the following quantities per minute for the items I used to put on the main bus (using medium machines and a red belt): Iron plate = 6457,333. This base is 90 SPM. Quite spaghetti but not large or complex. You really don't need a large bus or city blocks. You quickly get cheap t3 modules, which make things really quick and cheap. K2 belts are really fast so you don't need a large bus, and prod3s in everything makes everything cheap.

I wanted round numbers, so I thought about having 1k spm per block at first. Since that would be quite big and require 3 rocket silos per block, I decided to go for ~333 spm with one silo and rounded that to 5.6 science per second (336 per minute). In this video we discuss the difference between a base with a "main bus" vs a "spaghetti" base. The balancer feeds every consumer line with exactly one belt. Said balancer is large enough to have enough inputs and outputs for every producer and every consumer. This way you avoid rebalancing and throughput issues.Build all your factories on one side of the bus. Every time you add a new science, add each new item to the bus. Start with one belt of each item if you like, and when you're no longer meeting demand, just tack some more belts to on to the outside of your bus. Then don't have to be next to each other. 5.

best advice for buses is to leave 2-3 spaces between each set of 4 lanes for undergrounds and also DO NOT pull inputs for green circuits, gears, and steel production blocks from the bus. they should have separate/dedicated input streams. Their outputs should go to the bus of course.
